Frequently asked
If your question is not here, ask us — we would rather tell you honestly whether a course fits than sell you the wrong day.
Do I need my own motorcycle?
No. Bring your own bike if you have one — the skills transfer better when you train on the machine you actually ride. If you do not have a bike, we can arrange a rental. Mention it when you book.
Do I need a licence to train with you?
Not for our courses. Training happens on a closed, prepared area inside the Zwartkops facility, not on public roads, so you do not need a licence to take part.
What gear do I need?
A helmet, riding jacket, gloves, long trousers and boots that cover the ankle. If you do not have a helmet, jacket or gloves yet, we can arrange them — tell us your sizes when you book.
Do I train on the racetrack?
No. Training takes place on a specially prepared area inside the Zwartkops facility — not on the racetrack itself. It gives you cones, markings and space to repeat an exercise until it sticks, with no traffic and no surprises.
Which brands of motorcycle do you train on?
All of them. Training is delivered by a BMW Motorrad-certified instructor, but riders of every motorcycle make are welcome — commuters, cruisers, sports bikes and big adventure bikes alike.
When do courses run?
Courses run Tuesday to Sunday on request, rather than on a fixed public calendar. A training day starts at 08:30 sharp and finishes around 16:00.
How does booking work?
Send us an enquiry telling us when you are generally available. We confirm a date with you as soon as we can, then send a payment link. There is nothing to pay when you submit the enquiry.
I am nervous and have barely ridden. Is this for me?
Yes — that is exactly who the Beginner / Novice course is for, and the one-on-one day even more so. You will not be holding a group back, because there is no group.
My bike feels too big and heavy for me. Can you help?
Yes — this is one of the most common reasons riders book a one-on-one day. A big bike is not harder to ride, it is harder to ride badly, and technique fixes most of it, including for shorter riders who cannot flat-foot.
Can I do a course as a gift for someone?
Get in touch and we will arrange it. Mention it in the note when you send your enquiry.
Still not sure?
Tell us what you ride and what worries you, and we will point you at the right day.
